We invested in Zapp during its Series B funding round. The company delivers the products customers order via its app within minutes. Its product range includes thousands of items, such as beverages, snacks, fresh groceries, ice cream, pharmacy products, and baby and pet supplies. To offer this service to customers 24/7, the company operates local Zappstores that keep the products in stock, and drivers deliver them directly from there to customers’ doorsteps. Zapp currently operates in London, Manchester, Cambridge, Bristol, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Paris.
A total of $200 million was raised in the latest funding round. The round was led by Lightspeed, 468 Capital, and BroadLight Capital. Among the co-investors in the Series B round is Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton.
