A place that has always been home to bicycles, and a family that has never let it go.

When Hildegard and Rolf Köhler built the structure in 1996, it was more than just a commercial building. It was their first concrete commitment to an entrepreneurial path. Rolf Köhler ran ROKO Rad und Ski until his death in 2008, and the passion for the bicycle business lived on.

René Köhler transformed the location into the fahrrad.de Store and continued to run it from 2008 to 2012. Subsequently, the Leipzig-based furniture mail-order company Massivum used the space for five years. When the lease expired, the bicycle concept returned.

Starting in 2018, fahrrad.de was once again present at Westbahnhof. Since May 2024, fahrrad.de Bikester GmbH, a company of KOHLER GROUP Holding, has been operating the store. The building remains family-owned.
