Alexander Fiess has been with the KOEHLER GROUP since July 2022 and, as Managing Director of KOEHLER Capital Partners GmbH, is responsible for the Private Markets division. In this role, he oversees the Group’s private markets strategy, manages investments across various asset classes, supports M&A transactions and financing initiatives, and serves on advisory and executive boards. Another focus is on expanding and actively managing the investment portfolio, as well as further developing the KOEHLER GROUP’s private markets platform.
His current role builds on his extensive operational and entrepreneurial experience. Following the successful restructuring and operational realignment of fahrrad.de—where he served as managing director for about a year and a half and was responsible for key functions such as retail, logistics, customer care, and leasing—he returned to the KOEHLER GROUP at the end of 2025.
Alexander Fiess has been working closely with René Köhler in various roles for over ten years. Prior to that, he spent several years in leadership positions at internetstores GmbH, focusing on venture building, the development and scaling of new business models, controlling, and M&A activities. He began his career as a management consultant at J.D. Power & Associates before taking on responsibility as Commercial Director and Authorized Signatory at the fashion company Young Poets (YPS).
